"My journey with photography began with my passion for artistic expression."

How did you first become interested in photography?

I was always searching for a way to convey ideas and concepts in a non-traditional manner, and I found that conceptual photography was the perfect medium. “The first time I created a symbolic, staged image, I felt like I had found my authentic artistic voice.”

What type(s) of photography do you specialise in, and why did you choose this niche?

I specialise in conceptual and fine art photography because I love exploring symbols, meanings, and expressing abstract ideas visually. Over time, my style evolved from simple images to more complex works, characterised by enhanced staging, composition, and lighting. I now ensure that every photograph conveys a clear and impactful message.

Can you share the underlying themes or ideas that drive your photography?

The themes that drive my photographs often revolve around identity, memory, and the unconscious. “I strive to create expressive images that invite personal interpretation and interaction.” I rely on symbolism, artistic composition, and abstraction to convey deep ideas and make a lasting resonance with the viewer.

What's the one achievement or moment in your photography career that you're most proud of?

The moment I'm most proud of is my first solo exhibition, where I presented a series of conceptual photographs on the theme of "fragmented identity." The response from visitors and the meaningful conversations sparked by the images were truly special. I felt that my artwork had genuinely touched people's hearts.

What's been the biggest challenge you've faced as a photographer, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge was proving myself in an art scene with intense competition, especially since conceptual photography is not always understood or accepted by everyone. I overcame it through patience, developing my artistic vision, and participating in art meetings and collective projects that increased my visibility and confidence.

If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be and why?

I wanted to collaborate with theatre designers or performance artists to merge conceptual photography with live arts. I believe this intersection could provide rich visual and emotional experiences, creating a comprehensive artistic project that resonates with the audience on multiple levels.

What are your thoughts on the 54Ruum platform?

The 54ruum community seems like an exciting space for creativity and artistic exchange, especially in the field of photography. Such communities offer a valuable platform for artists to share ideas, learn from one another, and grow together. It can help develop photography skills, stimulate innovation, and create opportunities for collaboration among artists from different fields.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone just starting their photography journey, what would it be?

My advice would be to embrace experimentation and develop your unique voice. Don't be afraid to try new techniques, explore different styles, and make mistakes along the way. Photography is not just about capturing what you see, but about expressing your perspective and emotions. Stay curious, trust the process, and let your creativity lead the way.
