How would you describe yourself in a few sentences?

Raw and honest, I shoot it as I see it and precisely as I live my life. I tell it how I feel or see it.

How did you first become interested in photography?

How I Got Into Photography: It all started when I saw a post on Facebook that inspired me to recreate it. I'd held a camera before while following my dad to events, but that one post pushed me to take photography seriously, and I've been hooked ever since.

What type(s) of photography do you specialise in, and why did you choose this niche?

I specialise in street and lifestyle photography with a focus on minimalism, contrast, and storytelling. My style draws inspiration from the raw and authentic moments that people often overlook in their daily lives. I chose this niche because it allows me to capture resilience and humanity within ordinary settings.

Over time, my style has evolved to embrace simplicity, using light and composition to elevate everyday scenes into visual poetry that resonates with viewers.

Can you share the underlying themes or ideas that drive your photography?

My work revolves around themes of resilience, connection, and introspection. I believe that even the simplest moments can hold powerful stories. Through my images, I aim to spark reflection and dialogue, encouraging viewers to see themselves and their own stories in the images I create. Whether it's a candid street shot or a thoughtfully composed portrait, my goal is to build a bridge between my lens and the viewer's heart.

What's the one achievement or moment in your photography career that you're most proud of?

One of my proudest moments was hosting my online exhibition Black.White.Beautiful on my Kwaku Kr3 Instagram page. It allowed me to share my signature black-and-white street photography with a global audience and connect with viewers in a deeply personal way. The feedback and engagement from that experience reinforced the power of storytelling through photography.

Additionally, I'm proud to have had my work featured in international exhibitions, including JRNY Gallery (Las Vegas) and AWITA NY (Brooklyn), and to have contributed to the creative community through mentoring, collaborations, and published projects. These milestones continue to inspire me to grow and evolve as an artist.

What's been the biggest challenge you've faced as a photographer?

I shared my Gear (camera) with a friend, and he got the camera into salt water. I haven't had my camera again since that incident. I'm still saving up for a professional camera!
